Victoria Pugliese | Thinking with my hands

"My work today is the result of letting go of the need to force things. After much exploration, my hands and my life have finally understood that there is no such thing as an error: everything is a dance. A process where passion, stillness, and struggle coexist, yet one that also demands pauses; moments of silence where the creative encounter condenses into a brutal force."

I am the face behind Querida Hortensia. At 48, I combine my love for textiles and design—using noble materials like linen and cotton—with a constant exploration of embroidery and collage. I perceive these materials as colleagues, creating together in a dialogue of mutual respect.

Two worlds coexist in this space:

  • Textile Objects: Designed to inhabit your daily life with a sense of calm.

  • Unique Works Gallery: A space for exploration where the materials and the hands engage in a shared dialogue.

I am also developing art, play, and movement workshops for older women, driven by my belief in the power of creating in community.

I invite you to join me in this dance.
